Unwanted

Hideous creatures.

Ugly distorted bodies. 

Fanged teeth and yellowed claws.

Unloved.

Cast out.

Rejected.

They hunch over muddied earth

And glare hatefully at each other. 

They hiss and shriek when someone

Gets too close anymore. 

And I will feel right at home.
